I Am A: Lawful Good Human Wizard (2nd Level)

Alignment:
Lawful
Good
A lawful good character acts as a good person is
expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil
with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his
word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful
good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is
the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion.
However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts
freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Humans
are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a
penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as
well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual
hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Wizards
are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their
magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art.
When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to
devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The
wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She
learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she
can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard
learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are
improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small,
magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence,
wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Restart (a poem)

Posted on 2009.09.29 at 00:16
Sometimes I want to hit restart and begin again,
start over from the beginning again.
I did something wrong somewhere along the line
but we can’t go back.
No, we can’t go back
to our relationship’s beginning.

Somewhere we got out of touch.
Somewhere we lost track of time.
Years went by without a word from you
but it’s my fault too.
It’s my fault too.

If I could press a restart button
would anything change?
Would I love you more now?
Would our ties be unbroken?
If we could restart
would things just stay the same?
There are things I can’t change:
things I could never change.

Slowly, he turned,
looking at her face;
the tears streaming from her eyes.

Slowly, she turned,
looking at his face,
determination in his eyes.

Slowly, he smiled,
reassurance in his face,
reassurance in his eyes.

Slowly, she smiled,
acceptance in her face
but sadness in her eyes.

You Are Highly Spiritual
You may not have found the meaning of life, but you try to approach it with as much optimism as possible.
You are always enthusiastic and grateful for every day you have.

You are cheerful and energetic. You are a do-gooder who likes to keep busy.
You are outgoing and carefree. You embrace life to the fullest.

Fireworks and Friends (a poem)

"It's not so much the fireworks I came for," she said
as we drove along the dark highway home.
"It was good to see you guys again," she continued
as I fiddled with the radio dial.
The fireworks had been good,
but I could have seen some at home.
What I came for was the faces
those bright lights shone upon,
the voices laughing in the air
between the kabooms.

My Weather (a poem)

The sun is shining in my soul
although clouds have passed over
and hidden it from view
for days, even months
with rain pouring down
making rivers of tears.

It has stormed in my heart
and those clouds have not yet cleared.
Clouds have darkened my heart's hallways
of dreams of happiness.

My mind is cluttered with clouds
and birds whistling happy tunes
along with a mourning dove,
forever mourning,
never quite drowned out
by happy chirps and trills.

There may be clouds in my mind;
there may be storms in my heart
but in my soul the sun will shine.

My Myers-Briggs Results

Posted on 2008.09.03 at 14:10
I'm in career planning class and got my Myers-Briggs personality test back recently. Here is some of what it says about my type, INFP (Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving):

Potential Strengths:

INFPs are sensitive and idealistic people, who strive for inner harmony. Devoted to the people and things they care deeply about, they can be loyal and empathetic friends. While they appear cool and even detached, INFPs have private feelings which are strong and passionate. They trust their personal reactions and perceptions and use their own set of values to rule their lives.

Curious about possibilities, INFPs enjoy all sorts of creative endeavors. Often insightful, they can be original thinkers who enjoy using their imagination to consider new ways of doing things. They can be very persuasive about their dreams and ideas, but only with people they trust, because they make such a personal investment in everything they do. Thoughtful and complex, INFPs are not especially interested in imposing their views on others but are very protective of their privacy and are highly selective about their friends.

Potential Weaknesses:

When working on a cause they believe in, they can lose themselves in the project and ignore the pressing realities of life around them. INFPs are very sensitive to interpersonal tension and tend to avoid conflict. They have trouble letting go of hurts and often hold grudges. Because they only see the good in those they care about, they run the risk of being disillusioned and disappointed easily.

INFPs need to find creative ways of expressing themselves. Not very realistic or logical, they sometimes get off track with their projects. They usually set impossibly high standards for themselves and are often not willing to share their ideas until they are flawless. They can be hypersensitive to criticism and tend to take all feedback personally. Without outside reactions, they may never make necessary alterations and end up with unworkable or unfinished projects. if they view these as failures, they may see everything as negative. INFPs need to ask for constructive advice and then be willing to listen to it with objectivity.

Triwizard Tournament! <]:)

Tomorrow at my college there will be a "Triwizard Tournament." There will be a Jeopardy-style Harry Potter trivia challenge, an indoor "Quidditch Match" and some sort of secret House task for each House (Participants will all be assigned Houses.). The winner will receive a Triwizard Cup! :) I'm excited. I'm even wearing a robe to it. It's just a bathrobe but it doesn't look too bathrobey since my mom took the belt loops off and safety-pinned the front (She said she could put Velcro on the front or something, but there wasn't time.).
